A Donut A Day…

The Notable Non-Book this week is a large donut pan I bought. I love it, so let’s get started!

Frying foods is not my jam neither is an air fryer. I have nothing against air fryers, but with the minimal space in our home, I’d rather have a juicer. Personal choice. Anyways, I love donuts!

After a few years of acquiring four half dozen donut pans, I thought there must be a more efficient way to bake donuts. A quick search brought this 20-cavity donut pan to the forefront. I bought it a couple of years ago, and I have no complaints.

Check it out!

This is a non-stick, dishwasher-safe item, but I prefer to hand wash it. When I make donuts, I quadruple my recipe and go to town. I am short four donuts to make a complete four dozen, but the extra batter can be easily added to the other 20 donuts. Plus, my family has donuts to last us several days, so I’m happy.

I do a simple glaze with powdered sugar and a splash of non-dairy milk. The last time, I sprinkled these dye-free sprinkles on top. A warning for those that care: measure your oven racks to make sure the large donut pan will fit. Also, if you don’t like non-stick pans, try these food-grade silicone pans.

Have you tried baked donuts? We love them. Share a donut-making secret in the comments. Make sure to check out additional Notable Non-Book posts for more great items.
