Two by Two by Nicholas Sparks

After watching The Notebook, which broke me, I have never picked up a Nicholas Sparks book. So I was surprised when I decided to bring home this book about a man whose life took a completely different turn. He loses everything but his young daughter. I’m nervous, but maybe I’ll give it a try. If not, I’ll walk it down to a Little Free Library in my neighborhood.

You Will Know Me by Megan Abbott

This psychological fiction looks interesting. The mother of a talented gymnastics athlete is uncovering clues to a crime in the gymnastics community. Many reviews say this thriller is a page-turner. We shall see.

Still Alice by Lisa Genova

Alice is a Harvard professor when she discovers she has early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. This debut novel for Genova received much praise and became a movie. I’ll have to read the book, then watch the film. What did you think?

Dreamcatcher by Stephen King

I don’t like horror, but Stephen King is a fantastic writer. This one seems to involve aliens somehow, which is a childhood fear of mine. Has anyone read this one? Which King novel is your favorite?

By Invitation Only by Dorothea Benton Frank

Frank’s book looks like a fun story between two families; a have and have not scenario. The product description says that it contains humor, truths, and empathy. I look forward to reading and maybe learning from this author.
