All Summer Long by Dorothea Benton Frank
The blurb on this one sounds great! A couple is downsizing, but their finances aren’t what the husband thinks. The female character takes a leap of faith that changes everything. Frank is known for her humor. I need to read this one soon. Maybe this summer.
Life After by Katie Ganshert
This novel is about the single survivor of a train bombing. Autumn, the survivor, cannot remember the event but still struggles with survival guilt. She meets a widower whose wife died in the same bombing. I missed it beforehand, but this is a Christian romance book. Some reviewers say the angle dealing with the survivor’s guilt is unique, so I’m intrigued. I’ll let you know.
Winterland by Alan Glynn
This murder thriller looks intense. Two men from the same family die on the same night in different places. When a family member questions the murders, it makes others unhappy. One reviewer said there was a lot of cursing and violence. Have you read this?
Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie
I saw the movie of this novel when it came out. The ending was a little too much for me, but I’m curious about how similar the book is to the movie. I’ve never read an Agatha Christie book before, and I figured I should try one at least. Which Christie book is your favorite?
Best Friends Forever by Jennifer Weiner
This women’s literary fiction novel is about two friends, Addison and Valerie. As it often happens, these girls grow apart with time. Fast forward fifteen years, and one friend is begging for help on the other’s doorstep. The blurb says this is a funny and engaging read. I’m excited to give it a try.
