Secrets of the Millionaire Mind: Mastering the Inner Game of Wealth by T. Harv Eker is an enlightening read and quick read. Eker’s focus is getting your money blueprint, “your preset program or way of being with money,” set on a good foundation.
In his book, Eker shares wealth principles that bring home the point that our mindset regarding money is crucial. I loved his thermostat analogy when discussing our money blueprints. Find that analogy on pages 72 and 73.
Also in his book are 17 “Wealth Files” which discuss how rich people think and act differently than poor or middle-class people. Do I agree with every point? No, but I found a lot of these very eye-opening. I learned that some of my conditioned thoughts about the rich and money need work.
I listened to the audiobook read by the author and found myself smiling throughout. While the content isn’t humorous, I found his delivery that way. Throughout the book, he asks you to put your hand over your heart and declare many things. It is immediately followed by the command to “touch your head and say… ‘I have a millionaire mind!”‘ The repetition was amusing to me and I did it with a smile.
