Let the fun begin!

First up are the ever-so-fun Go books of Steve Light. These books for babies and toddlers will delight their eyes and ears. Trucks Go, Boats Go, Planes Go,” Trains Go, and others are full of colorful illustrations that show a handful of varieties of the given title.   Each page simply displays the written sound effect of each mode of transportation.  They are so fun to read and your kids will ask for more and more read throughs.

Next up is The Book with No Pictures by B.J Novak. I’m awful with names and it wasn’t until I looked the author up that I recognized him as a guy on the TV show The Office. This book is ridiculous (in a good way), crazy, fun, and guaranteed to get belly laughs from your kids. Our favorite moment from the book is ‘boo-boo butt.’  Check out this video of Novak reading it at a school assembly for inspiration. Now, clear your throat and enjoy reading this one with enthusiasm.

An adorable Duo

Last mention for today is the enjoyable Elephant and Piggie series. Elephant and Piggie are two best friends that have many adventurous happenings. Sometimes they whisper, sometimes they shout, but it’s always in good taste.  I’ve even adopted the phrase ‘waiting is not easy’ after reading the book Waiting is Not Easy to my kids.  They are kind,  they are fun, and it gives you another chance to shine as you read it aloud to your tribe.
